Well at least you have chosen a good carpet in terms of color and pattern! Do you remember the old-fashioned brown-with-colored-spatters linoleum we had in the SLC house before we remodeled? It went really well with the large red brick oven housing and the painted rooster. But it did hide spills and other things....
