Hide the electronics! Again!

How is that we baby-proofed our house once already but it seems to be full of the fragile and dangerous and delectably chewy, all over again?

And now watch this cool trick:

It took Audrey about 4 months to go from crawling - at 9 months - to pulling up, to standing, to walking. That's pretty typical, from what I can tell. But Calvin seems intent on racing through all of this as fast as he can. It wasn't hard to get the short video clip of him standing unaided - if only briefly - because he is practicing all the time. He keeps a steady regimen of pulll-to-standing practice as he tries to master balancing. He has gone from first crawl to unaided standing in two weeks! I wouldn't be surprised if he is walking in another month. I'm pretty impressed with the little guy's strength, if you can't tell.

I sent a heads up on this one to my own "little brother," Dick (two years younger than me). As we watch Audrey and Calvin grow up we are both reminded of our own big sister-little brother days. Dick started the "Anti-Jean Club" with my other two little brothers and their pals. They had a meeting place, and even a club song! The club agenda was to tease me mercilessly all day long. There were some peaks and valleys, for sure, but all's well that ends well and we are very good friends as adults.
